The 2021 December Daily Dash increased revenue by 512% in one year
Rob has over a decade's experience in fundraising strategy with a career spanning the NSPCC, as Head of Fundraising Strategy and Planning, to COO of Killer Creative, the agency behind some of the most successful fundraising products of recent years (Dryathlon, DECHOX, MyMarathon, Samarathon to name but a few). He has worked with myriad charities, public sector bodies and other social purpose organisations from multiple perspectives: as an in-house Head of Department, as a leader of a creative agency and as an independent strategic consultant.
In a voluntary capacity, Rob has also served as Chair of The Strategy Forum for the Institute of Fundraising, as a member of the Advisory Board for The Good Business Club and as Chair of Trustees for abandofbrothers young offender mentoring charity.
Early in 2020 he established Wayforward to follow the desire to support a broader range of social purpose organisations helping them to grow their resources, their people and their impact.
Organisations tell us that while they have plenty of good ideas, they can't justify the investment to get them to scale...
Fundraising is hard.
Creating powerful asks that motivate your supporters time after time takes an investment in innovation. But whether it's finding new ways to increase existing income streams or attracting new audiences, many third sector organisations find innovation difficult. Not because they lack ideas, but because the need to steward donated funds carefully can mean avoiding any change or risk; even those necessary for future survival or growth.
That's where Wayforward can help.
We enable you to innovate safely by designing the best approach within your optimal budget. We'll work with your team, drawing from our extensive experience in both charities and agencies, while helping you avoid the high-price entry points of conventional agencies.
Making innovation sustainable.
Our ethos is to empower those we work with and we strive to leave our clients with skills or knowledge they didn’t have before. We'll coach a member of your team through the process so they are able to repeat at least parts of it without external support in future.
“I first worked with Wayforward when they consulted on our new business model. Rob Alcroft has gone on to mentor me - both providing strategic advice on our organisation’s current challenges and coaching me as an individual. His support has undoubtedly enabled me to approach my work from a new perspective and achieve valuable results during these critical times.”
Rebecca Elcome, Director, Resource Alliance
